In connection with a training course I got the chance to make a short visit to the UK again, where I feel so very much at home.
I left home very early in the morning, arrived at Heathrow at about noon, jumped on the Heathrow Express and arrived at Padding Railway Station before 1 PM. I spent a couple of hours walking along the Grand Union Canal (Paddington Arm), up to Little Venice, the junction between Grand Union Regents Canal (which runs past Camden Town to the river Thames) and the Grand Union Canal (Paddington Branch). I’ve walked along this canal many times before, but it’s always nice to return.
After a few hours, I got on a train for Swindon, a city I’ve never visited before. I was going to spend just one night there, to go to a concert with Aynsley Lister and his band. I’ve seen the band once before (at Dingwalls in London). They play great blues/rock and is an excellent live band.
I found a small guesthouse just across the street from the Swindon Arts Centre, very convenient !

The Pig on the Hill, a nice pub just across the street where I stayed the night in Swindon. They served one of the best meals of lamb I’ve eaten , on a pub !! Recommended.
Swindon Arts Centre, where Aynsley Lister Band was going to play in the evening. Nice place.
